Today we're going to review the new N800 Android 4.0 Chinese phone, which has been introduced recently as one of the new cheap Chinese phones built on the MT6575 Chipset, and hosting Android 4.0 as their main OS.
This phone comes equipped with a 1GHz ARM® CortexTM-A9 processer, a fairly good processor that's capable of dealing with the most demanding tasks without issues, as well as handling multitasking as reported by many users, it also comes with a PowerVR™ Series5 SGX GPU (graphics processing unit) from Imagination Technologies, which is a powerful GPU that could handle HD videos and High-End 3D games without experiencing any performance issues.
The N800 Android 4.0 Phone comes with 4.3 inch WVGA capacitive touch screen, the screen resolution depends on the version, as i have seen this phone sold in both 480*800 and 540*960 resolutions, the screen response seems to be very sensitive in a good way, and the colors are vivid and bright.
I was formerly skeptical about Chinese phones, mainly because of software usability, but i changed my mind since i started to see more and more Chinese phone manufacturers adopting Android as the chosen OS for their phones and tablets, which has solved the problem of usability, and resulted in a great change in user experience and ease of use.
The N800 Android phone was built on the Mediatek MT6575 Chipset, Mediatek is a tech giant in the Taiwanese silicon valley, it's worth to say that the MT6575 was the chosen platform for Lenovo to power their Lenovo A750 dual-sim smart phones, as well as the new LePad A2017 tablet, which was the first tablet to be introduced with a dual-sim feature, the following video shows the Antutu Benchmark for a Lenovo A750, the MT6575 Chipset enabled the device to rank above the Google Nexus and the Samsung Galaxy S.
I found the following video review for the N800 Android phone on Youtube, the screen seems very responsive, and the performance in 3D games seems very high as well, i wish if he ran the AnTuTu benchmark test though, to see how it compares to other popular phones in terms of overall performance.
